CAUSES , HARMFUL EFFECTS AND CONTROL OF DEFORESTATION

DEFORESTATION
Deforestation comes out to be the problems of most of our environmental issues because when deforestation takes place that is cutting down too many forests that result in the alteration of oxygen level due to decrease in the amount of oxygen which leads to many other environmental problems, for e.g it leads to water pollution, soil pollution, deforestation itself is a cause of many environmental threats

Permanent destruction or conversion of  forest for other purposes
Why do we cut down the masses of trees or why do we destruct the forests?
We cut down trees for purposes such as

• Agriculture: Maybe in order to feed population  so we need more land to produce more crops we cut down the forest areas and used the same land for cultivating of crops which are useful for integral products
• Furniture making: As population increases, everybody needs furniture, houses so in that purpose it is required
• Residential establishments: It happens so many times in these days it had often seen in big cities, remote part of big cities which are getting overpopulated so those remote areas are also been converted into residential areas
• Industry/factories: By the purpose of setting up of industries/factories we might evacuate a large stretch of land by cutting trees by much such reason deforestation takes place

If we talk about India we will see deforestation is drastically increases in the last few decades so if you look at the graph you will see quite a differences in the percentage of cutting trees

Deforestation: Causes

• Overpopulation: Deforestation is a human activity it is caused by human needs and human do this for their own benefits, Why do they do?for industries/factories purpose, Residential purpose, commercial purpose and because of cultivating more crops as population increasing very fastly so it is very important to handle this problem in a better way ,we have lots of families where the family is too big a couple may have 10 kids still prevalent in India, in fact, there are several causes which need to handle and it has become an immediate need for the survival of living organisms in this earth so overpopulation needs to be handled

• Agriculture: So another cause is agriculture as we want to increase the cultivation of crops we want more and more crops, in fact, it is also for that to meet the need of overpopulation so for that purpose also we cut down the forest
• Human settlement:Everything is related to overpopulation as overpopulation increases, all we need houses for our settlements for that  we clear out the forest and build houses and complexes
• Fuel: People cut down trees and may use the woods to get fuel
• Forest fires: Sometimes this forest fire is not always caused by human .sometimes they can alter by nature as well but whether or os natural or artificial - one forest fire can destruct the whole forest in one move. t has been observing that enough trees lost due to forest fire now sometimes it happened due to natural calamities for due to extreme hot summer and due to extremely cold winter it catches fire, sometimes it can be done by human but sometimes as a result of human activities so when human being want to destruct the forest but instead of cutting down trees they just fire the forest and forest catch fire and it gets destructed ,so if we talk about the problem of deforestation it is completely under the control of human because all the causes are related to human activities and we all are responsible for deforestation and seen how deforestation is responsible for so many things and other environmental issues so it is the high time to understand the importance of forests and planting trees we must follow certain rule to control deforestation 

• Industries: settling of an industry is another cause of deforestation

How we can control deforestation?
 in fact, it is we who can control deforestation completely  

• Stop clear-cutting of trees: So what we should do? we have to control our needs and for that, we are required to control our way of increasing population and greeds by that happen our needs reduce and we don't bother to cut the trees or forest much 
• Reforestation: If we think that cutting down of trees in a particular due to some other needs what we can do? we can compensate this by planting more trees in some other areas , now we can see that when we look around the sides of highways, on the side of highways we can plants more and more trees so that human settlements have huge number of trees so at least some amount of trees are there and we can compensate the amount of carbon dioxide released and also prevent soil erosion so this problem can vanish to some extent 
• Strict rules to prevent unnecessarily deforestation:Now if the rules are strict so people will afraid to cut down trees . for example ; if the government make such rules if the person cut one tree, a very huge fine will impose on that person, in that case, people will little afraid of such loss and they will not cause deforestation
